Kathleen Houssels, CFA
Founder + Lead
Kathleen is a proven leader with a unique ability to transform information into actionable insights. She leverages data and storytelling to catalyze positive change and build compelling cases for action.
With over two decades of experience in investment management, data analysis, businessstrategy, and change leadership, Kathleen has an impressive track record. As the former Global Chief Investment Officer for AXA Rosenberg Investment Management LLC, she led the management of assets of approximately $23 billion and led the integration of ESG insights into all strategies, making the organization a global leader in sustainable quantitative investing.
Driven by a passion for community impact and inspired by COVID-19’s effects on vulnerable groups, Kathleen has pivoted her focus toward supporting nonprofits and change-makers in addressing diverse community needs. Her understanding and firsthand experience fuel her commitment to driving meaningful change at the grassroots level.
Kathleen holds degrees from Harvard University and Duke University, is the busy mother of five boys, and actively involved in the Danville community.
Eric Houssels, CFA
Advisor
Eric Houssels has served as the co-founder and managing member of Houssels Capital Management LLC since 2000. Mr. Houssels is also Chief Investment Officer of the Houssels Family, LP, a partnership that manages the Houssels family office. Prior to this, Mr. Houssels worked in several capacities at Showboat, Inc., a publicly traded gaming company, with his final position being assistant to the CFO. Between 1998 and 2000, Mr. Houssels was a business analyst in the strategy division of Andersen Consulting in San Francisco. Mr. Houssels received a BA in economics from Stanford University and an MBA with distinction from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
Mr. Houssels is a Founding Director of Lexicon Bank, a Las Vegas bank that received its charter, the first since the Great Recession, in 2019. Mr. Houssels served on Congressman Joe Heck’s (NV) Economic Advisory Committee from 2011-2017, on the Board as Treasurer of the Nevada Ballet Theatre (he currently remains on the Advisory Board), is a National Review Institute Regional Fellow and CFA charterholder. He lives in Danville, California with his wife and five sons.
